With a legacy of over 40 years in medical practice, Dr. James brings unparalleled expertise to our practice. Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Palm Desert, California, our office has been serving the community for over 15 years. We specialize in providing comprehensive primary care services to patients aged 14 and older.

Dr. Patricia L. James
She is board certified in internal medicine and in emergency medicine. She completed medical school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1976, followed by an internship at University of Southern California, in Los Angeles and a residency in Internal Medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. During 1984-1992, she held positions at Eisenhower Medical Center as the Associate Medical Director and later the Director of Emergency Medical Department. During 1991-1997, she was the Medical Director of Idyllwild Medical Clinic. During 1994-1997, she was the Medical Director of the Anza Medical Clinic. During 1992-1995, she ran Eisenhower Immediate Care as Director in both Cathedral City and La Quinta, CA.
During 1994-2005, she practiced at Loma Linda University Medical Center in the Emergency Department as Assistant Clinical Professor. During 2001-2005, she practiced in cooperation with several physicians to form the Rancho Mirage Cardiology & Medical Specialists. In 2009 Dr. James opened her own practice in this very location. With pleasure she has provided her services to thousands of patients both in office and when hospitalized. She continues to grace our healthcare community with her tremendous skill and experience. Dr. James is married to an oncologist and has two lovely adult children. Her daughter is 35 and is a film editor in Burbank. Her son is 37 and is a Rehabilitation Medicine physician in Pomona.
Camilla Davis
I’m Camilla Davis, PA-C, but call me Myla! I am a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant, now working with Dr. James for 10 yrs. I obtained my national certification as a Physician Assistant in 2010. Prior to that I worked for the Riverside Sheriff Department and CalFire. I have worked rural and urban clinical sites and feel that has given me a unique perspective to be of service to my patients. I have worked in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Migraine Therapy, Emergency Room, Urgent Care and have special interest in Functional Medicine, Alternative Medicine and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement (BHRT). My goal is to promote preventative medicine versus practicing reactive medicine. I feel that the relationships with my patients are a partnership with a shared goal. I have lived in the Coachella Valley for three years, but have always lived in Riverside County. I have 2 boys and am excited to see them become young men and step out into their lives. My remaining time is spent with friends and my three German Shepherds. My hobbies include scuba diving, trail running, ½ marathons and dancing. Self-care and volunteering are my passions. I am thankful that I have been blessed in this life and in awe of what has been entrusted to me.
Kelly Peck
Nurse Practitioner
No, I am not related to Gregory, but I have worked in hospitals for 12 years on cardiac and medical-surgical units in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and in the Coachella Valley. In 2021-2022, I worked at the Advanced Wound Care Center in Palm Springs and La Quinta. I am very interested in Internal Medicine, Wound Care, and Lifestyle Medicine. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family including my parents, husband, two young boys (7 and 4), and four dogs. We enjoy the beautiful desert and all it has to offer. My hobbies include long distance running and practicing speaking French and Spanish, and listening to Audibles. I grew up in Ojai, California, earned a bachelors from UCSB in French, and later (2009) a master’s degree in nursing from UCLA. I finished my Nurse Practitioner Certification at National University in 2022. I am excited and honored to join the primary care practice of Dr. Patricia James.
